1Requests You May Make

• Confirmation of whether personal information about you is held, subject to lawful limitations.
• Access to personal information where permitted by POPIA and PAIA.
• Correction or updating of inaccurate, irrelevant, excessive, outdated, incomplete or misleading personal information.
• Deletion or destruction where the legal requirements are satisfied and no lawful retention ground applies.
• An objection to processing in circumstances permitted by POPIA.
• Withdrawal of consent where consent is the basis for processing.
• An objection to direct marketing.

2How to Submit a Request

Email info@lemondesigns.co.za with the subject line POPIA Request. Explain what you are asking for and provide enough information to identify the relevant records.

Do not send passwords or unnecessary sensitive information by ordinary email.

3Identity Verification

To protect personal information from unauthorised disclosure, Lemon Designs, also known as Lemon Web Designs may ask for reasonable proof of identity or authority before acting on a request. Only information reasonably necessary for verification should be supplied.

4Response & Lawful Limitations

Requests will be handled within the periods and procedures required by applicable law. Some information may need to be retained for legal, tax, contractual, security or record-keeping purposes, and access may be restricted where a lawful ground applies.

5Prescribed Forms & PAIA

Some requests, objections or PAIA access requests may require a prescribed form. Current official forms and guidance can be obtained from the Information Regulator (South Africa).

6Complaints

If you believe your personal information has been processed unlawfully, you may first contact Lemon Designs, also known as Lemon Web Designs so the concern can be investigated. You also have the right to approach the Information Regulator where applicable.
